DATA BANK
Data in the aggregate and continuous form, whether primary or secondary, qualitative or quantitative is the first step for conducting research in any field.
In India, effective quality research is thwarted by critical need for accurate, meaningful and timely data. Due to the evolution of world wide web, huge amount of data is available but it is often segmented, inaccurate and non-reliable.
Accurate data is needed to determine budgets and also for their justifications, allocate resources effectively, conduct strategic planning and more importantly capture true needs of the community. Without quality data, researchers and policymakers cannot set policy goals, monitor implementation, measure impact, or plan for demographic shifts in an effective way.
APRF strives to fill this gap by making available ready to use, sorted and arranged data in the format which most of the statistical packages accept for analysis. Apart from secondary data, APRF also engages in collecting and stocking primary data on diverse fields such as number of unemployed youth to changing consumer preference, rural children nutrition diagnostics to urban children health disorders etc. Such field specific data collected becomes a wealth of information for any policy to be made be it by the government or by the private sector.
